Philodendron chinchamayense is a unique vining Philodendron with long, narrow leaves that stay around 5 inches long in terrarium conditions. This species may be a bit slow when started from a cutting, but once established, it will grow steadily, especially when given something to climb on like a background or driftwood. An excellent vivarium plant that will add to the variety without taking over your vivarium. Requires moderate to high humidity.
To get a cutting started, keep the node(s) in contact with damp substrate like sphagnum moss, without covering the entire stem. It will root well into substrates like ABG or potting mix, but we recommend using sphagnum moss along with it to keep the plant from drying out.
Please feel free to message us if you have any concern or question about rooting a cutting.
