Native to: Brazil
Type: Vine
Philodendron sp. ‘Burle Marx Fantasy’ is a stunning vining species that grows well in the vivarium. This undescribed species was found climbing a tree in the garden of Roberto Burle Marx, a rainforest conservation activist, and landscape artist. The leaves are light green with shades of silver. The intricate webs of dark green veins makes this species exceptionally beautiful. This is a very popular plant both as a vivarium and house plant. Though the leaves can reach 10″ long, they stay small in a vivarium, typically about 2-3″ long. It is a slow grower and does best when provided with something to climb up. It doesn’t seem to like to be exposed to too much light, but grows well in shaded areas of our vivaria. This species will make an excellent addition to vivaria of any size.
