Native to: Possibly Africa
Type: Terrestrial, Bush
Calvoa sessiliflora is a little melastome with freckled leaves that loves humidity, making it a perfect vivarium plant. It branches out readily to form a bush. If you look closer, there are trichomes on the freckles. The leaves can take on different shades of green depending on lighting. In very low light, the white spots often turn pink. It blooms regularly with pink flowers and is self-seeding. Very little can be found about this species, but it is thought to possibly originate in Africa.
