Native to: Colombia and Ecuador
Type: Vine
Philodendron fibrosum is a larger vining aroid that does well in the vivarium. It has unassumingly beautiful green leaves and develops stunning pubescent petioles as the plant matures. This species grows slowly and tends to have short internodes, which makes the plant easily manageable in the vivarium. We have a Philodendron fibrosum specimen that has been growing in our vivarium for 3.5 years, and the largest leaves we have gotten are about 6 inches long. (Fuzzy petiole shown in the last photo.)
