Microgramma reptans is an attractive small fern. Our original specimen was imported from Ecuador. It has a fuzzy appearance as the fronds and rhizomes are covered with fine hairs. It is slow growing but easy to root, and has done well under bright indirect light. The fronds reach 3/4″ in length, possibly larger. This little epiphyte will cover a background or driftwood in the vivarium and will look great along with mosses and liverworts.
To get a cutting started, keep the rhizome in contact with a damp substrate like sphagnum moss, without covering the entire rhizome. Requires high humidity.
Please feel free to message us if you have any concern or question about rooting a cutting.
