Native to: Ecuador
Philodendron sp. ‘Lance Leaf’ is a smaller climbing species suitable for vivaria of any size. It can be slow to root, but once established it climbs up backgrounds quickly. The leaves usually stay 1″ – 3″ long when first started from a cutting. As the plant matures, they can reach up to 5″ long in the vivarium.
To get a cutting started, keep the node(s) in contact with a damp substrate like sphagnum moss, without covering the entire stem. It will root well into substrates like ABG or potting mix, but we recommend using sphagnum moss along with it to keep the plant from drying out.
Please feel free to message us if you have any concern or question about rooting a cutting.
