Biophytum soukupii is a wonderful small vivarium suitable plant that looks like a little palm tree. It reaches about 6 inches across and 4 inches tall. It blooms often and is self-seeding. The foliage closes at night and reopens in light. Don’t worry if the leaves are folded up and droopy when you receive the plant; this happens due to stress from shipping and lack of light, but it will recover quickly under vivarium conditions. Requires high humidity.
