Native to: Peru?
Philodendron sect. Pteromischum sp. ‘Dwarf Peru’ is a small species that loves to climb. The bright green leaves are thin and usually stay 1″ – 1.5″ long in vivarium conditions, perfect for vivaria of any size. It is moderately slow growing and does best shingling up a background. The leaves haven’t exceeded 2″ in length in the three years we’ve kept it.
To get a cutting started, keep the node(s) in contact with a damp substrate like sphagnum moss, without covering the entire stem. It will root well into substrates like ABG or potting mix, but we recommend using sphagnum moss along with it to keep the plant from drying out.
Please feel free to message us if you have any concern or question about rooting a cutting.
