Peperomia reptans is a unique creeping vine with small heart shaped leaves. The thick, green leaves are covered in very fine hair, which gives them a velvety appearance. The size of the leaves seem to stay around 3/4 of an inch in our vivaria.
With relatively long internodes, this charming Peperomia species meanders throughout the vivarium. It’s not a fast grower but grows steadily once it’s established. Perfect for a vivarium of any size, these whimsical little green hearts will quickly become one of your favorites! It roots on damp sphagnum easily under vivarium conditions.
To get a cutting started, keep the node(s) in contact with damp substrate like sphagnum moss, without covering the entire stem. It will root well into substrates like ABG or potting mix, but we recommend using sphagnum moss along with it to keep the plant from drying out.
Please feel free to message us if you have any concern or question about rooting a cutting.
